This year in Geography you have to complete 2 ICT tasks. These tasks are part of your ICT education at Slemish College and you need to make sure that you do your very best to produce a final piece that you can be proud of. Your teacher will talk you through the details of the task and will telll you what the final deadline for the piece of work is.
The topic chosen is Global Warming. the focus of the task is to produce a movie for a TV advert that challenges people about the impact of Global Warming on a local scale.
Teacher Planner for the tasks!
1. Demonstration of how wmv video can be downloaded from the internet (use some of videos from Task 1). Students should realise that only wmv videos can be edited and created in moviemaker. Mov videos are quicktime and would need to be converted first into the wmv language.
2. Students practice by downloading a video of global warming into their My Documents
3. Students are shown how to IMPORT these video clips into moviemaker
4. Demonstration of how video can be taken from a camera and uploaded in moviemaker
5. Students work in groups to do this.

There are some good old pathe films that you might want to use clips of from LearnNI portal - ask your teacher for more information!
1. Demonstration of how a storyboard can be used to plan the shots and ideas for building a story about global warming
2. Take a look at how Disney Pixar storyboard their movies
3. Students start to map out their ideas for the story they might want to tell in relation to global warming.
This will be set as a homework activity
